Employment at The Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy
At
the Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy, talented students and teachers
from diverse backgrounds learn together-- imaginatively. Teaching at a
private school is demanding, but for those who are committed to the
profession of teaching and to shaping the whole child, few experiences
are more fulfilling. The Southern CT Hebrew Academy continuously seeks
to employ and retain a talented, dedicated, and diverse faculty--women
and men who bring to their work a contagious enthusiasm.
Teaching at a private school is a lifestyle decision. The “life”
extends from the classroom to the playing fields, to the stage, to the
dining hall, and it exists in all the varied ways, both formal and
informal, in which adults and adolescents interact. When one considers
a teaching career at the Southern CT Hebrew Academy, one is committing
to the fulfilling experience of being in a private school community.
We are known for our demanding academic program, including a variety
of elective courses. We are proud of the quality of our high school
matriculations, and our healthy body/healthy mind ethos. The Southern
CT Hebrew Academy creates new experiences for students through
integrated and interdisciplinary learning in all areas of the school,
incorporated leadership education, and the promise brought by
citizenship in a community of learners.

Hebrew Academy we try to provide support that will help our faculty be
more effective professionals, mentors and role models.
