This course examines the size and shape of geometric objects within a framework of points, lines and planes. The scientific method of investigating and validating facts is used with the fundamentals of logic to gain knowledge and insight.
Algebra I & II
This course reviews the basic fundamentals of Algebra. It also introduces exponential and polynomial functions, series and sequences, and logarithms and trigonometry.
This course covers advanced analytic geometry, conic sections, the algebra of functions, trigonometry, and a review of some of the Algebra II topics.
A study of functions with applications, and an introduction to differential calculus, with a laboratory component. Topics include a review of algebra and functions, mathematical modeling with elementary functions, rates of change, inverse functions, logarithms and exponential functions, the derivative, differential equations, and Euler's method.
Math electives at the AP level will be available for the individual student.
